August 1, 2003: ExxonMobil Announces First eStore with CAP

On this date in 2003, ExxonMobil introduced its first eStore ever set up between the oil company giant and one of its customers.

An excerpt from the ExxonMobil press release:

ExxonMobil Aviation Lubricants today announced that it has established a private online eStore in cooperation with Civil Air Patrol (CAP). The store, the first of its kind between a major aviation lubricants supplier and its customers, will allow CAP and its members to order products, including Exxon Aviation Oil Elite 20W-50, efficiently anywhere in the nation.
