February 24, 1990: 70 Year Old CAP Pilots Spot Survivors in California

On this date in 1990, former World War II and current Civil Air Patrol pilot Keith P. Kelley spotted a California crash that lead to the rescue of two survivors.


An excerpt form the Los Angeles Times:
On Saturday, the Van Nuys resident found a Cessna 152 that crashed near Santiago Peak in Riverside County, and led rescuers to the area where they found the two survivors. The occupants of the plane suffered minor injuries but were not hospitalized.
